Rolled Fabric Rose

Illustrating how to stitch up a rolled fabric ribbon rose, hope it comes in handy when in need.

Materials used here include 40mm / 1-1/2 inch width ribbon of 1/2 meter / yard long, a mushroom button, and of course, your sewing tools.

Have your ribbon ready, half fold to 20mm width and iron it flat all the way. Then we're ready to start.

1. Before we start to roll and stitch, let's secure the mushroom button at the tip of the ribbon.

2.  Hold the mushroom stem and make your first 360 degree roll. Then stitch to secure it.

3.  Hold the ribbon end and make a 45 degree flip outwards and stitch at the center as seen in picture below.

4. Continue to roll and stitch, then flip and stitch... until 3-3/4 rounds.

This is the back of the rose, it's a little messy though!

5. To finish up, flip the ribbon end and stitch it up all the way as in picture below.
